Non-invasive Surgery


Today I got to sit in on a cyberknife procedure (at least in the control room). There are only 6 of these machines in the US.. And I must say it's amazing what we can do with technology.

  • How's the longterm effects for a procedure as such vs. chemo? I'm presuming that radiation is still part of the procedure, however a lower dosage? Lastly, has there been any randomized, controlled studies that tests the validity and reliability of this instrument as well as the effectiveness of this procedure.

    Please get back to me with a terse, one page literature review on this at your earliest convenience. =P
